Veggie Stamp

NOTE: Ok, let me get one thing straight first: Don't send me notes telling me I'm an omnivore, that I'm gonna die, that's I'm stupid. Comments are disabled for a reason. I REALLY couldn't care less about what you think. I plan to be a vegetarian for the rest of my life, and some argument on a website isn't going to convince me otherwise.

EDIT: WOW GUYS, I am so glad this stamp got so much attention! It makes me so happy to see so many deviants that see animal rights and treatment the same way I do! I updated the stamp to make it a little cuter, since I had no idea it'd get this popular. Keep on eating your tofu/vegetables/other yummy vegetarian food!





ANYWAYS, I'm a stamp whore. xD Even though I don't have a subscription yet, I have like, a shitload of pages of them.

Of course, my one little peeve on deviantART are the anti-vegetarian stamps.
And they lie among the 'Stop Animal Abuse' 'Animal Rights!' 'Stop Puppy Mills' stamps. -_-

So what this stamp really means: I have not met in my life, a single vegetarian that is vegetarian for the purpose of 'eating meat is wrong/against nature.'

MOST PEOPLE (at least that I've met...maybe I'm wrong) ARE VEGETARIANS BECAUSE THEY DON'T SUPPORT THE ABUSE!

SERIOUSLY people, you don't support puppy mills, the fur trade, and animal testing. Well I don't support slaughterhouses. And I'm sorry if that makes me SOOOO HORRIBLE. I love cows, goats, chickens, etc. I love all animals, and I choose not to support the way they're treated by not eating meat.
And yes I know, all slaughterhouses aren't bad. But is there really any way to know for sure? People lie, things get mixed up, things happen, you never really know. Plus most family-owned farms have been taken over with larger, crueler cooperation. (At least around here)

Eating meat happens in nature, we are naturally omnivores. But you know what? I don't see animals being abused, kicked around for the hell of it, and brutally tortured in nature.

Would I love for the treatment to stop? Of course. Would I love everyone to be vegetarian? God yes. But it's obviously not gonna happen. I don't support the meat companies myself because I'm against it and I don't want to add fuel to the fire. But that doesn't mean I'm going to shove it down other people's throats because obviously not everyone agrees with me.

So go eat your three animals for the hundreds I don't a year. But in the end I know that I don't support the suffering. I get enough protein, my blood is fine, and I'm a perfect weight. I eat things other then carrots and peas.


Let Animal Lovers support whatever the hell they want.

Sorry for the bitchy rant. Animal Rights is one thing I'm super opinionated on, and vegetarianism is definitely a minority and pretty much hated on dA. xD I felt there needed to be some clarification on exactly why people are vegetarians.
